Ideal Event Schedule

The Toledo Art Show will be a multi-day event that offers plenty of opportunities to meet new patrons and educate the next generation of artists.

Throughout the show there will be educational seminars about art history, methodology, research, and similar topics along with painting workshops for current and new artists alike to learn from eachother and practice new techniques. These workshops will be recorded and/or livestreamed to paid members of our site. Shares of the profit will of course go to the presenters.

Day 1 is dedicated for set-up. We will bring in our construction crew to set up sturdy, full size walls and lighting to get the true gallery feel. We believe we will be able to offer a couple different color choices for the walls on top of base white. Because this will be a temporary structure, we can also offer the opportunity for artists to paint them themselves.

Day 1 will also include a technology meeting for the speakers and group painting artists to better understand how recording and livestreaming works in the Seagate Center environment. Finally, we will have a banquet dinner for all booth holders, speakers, and volunteers,

Day 2 is the first day of the open show. Patrons, guests, and the general public will visit the booth spaces, talk with artists and galleries about their work, and hopefully purchase some of the art. Local schools will be invited to bring their most interested students to learn how to become an artist from the various educators presenting.

Day 3’s biggest draw will be the patrons dinner. Booth exhibitors, donors, and guests will be invited to a banquet. The dinner will finish with a keynote speaker followed by a champagne meet and greet. We hope to facilitate more collaboration in the art world to ensure the health and continued existence of local artistry.

Some jury selections will be announced prior to the event though other awards will be announced throughout the event.

For Day 4 we would like to put on an auction. Artists and galleries will be invited to submit art that they wish to sell and be asked to invite any patrons or guests who might be motivated to buy mid to high price art.

Throughout the event we would partner with local restaurants to offer discounted lunches and dinners for groups of exhibitors.

Day 5: tear-down.
